Cozy Haven Stays is a small collection of independently managed vacation homes in Kansas City and South Iceland. We focus on places with personality, practical comfort and enough thought behind them that they feel good to actually live in for a few days or longer.

Why we do this
A stay should be more than somewhere to sleep.
We believe the best rentals sit somewhere between a hotel and somebody else’s house: professionally prepared and easy to use, but still warm, individual and connected to the place around them.
That means comfortable beds matter. So does a kitchen that has the tools you actually need. It means thinking about lighting, laundry, storage, Wi‑Fi, coffee, arrival instructions and what a family or couple will need after a long travel day.
It also means being clear about the quirks. Older homes have stairs. Neighborhood homes have neighborhood sounds. Icelandic villages have weather, local character and landscapes that do not behave like a resort. We would rather help guests choose the right stay than oversell the wrong one.

Two places can both be home.
Kansas City is where I live, work, and raise my family. Iceland is where my roots run deep, where the landscape, pace of life, and sense of belonging have always felt familiar. Cozy Haven Stays grew from wanting to share both.
In Kansas City, home means welcoming neighborhoods, porch swings, local coffee, and a house where everyone can gather. In South Iceland, it means geothermal warmth, sea air, changing skies, and family nearby. The settings are different, but the feeling I want guests to have is the same: you can exhale here.
I’m hands-on with the details that make a stay feel easy, from how the kitchen is stocked and how the beds feel after a long travel day to clear arrival instructions and recommendations that are genuinely useful. Trusted family helps care for Skálavík, the Icelandic name of The Raven House, keeping the home connected to the community and to the people who know it best.
These homes are not anonymous rentals. They are an invitation into two places that feel like home to me, and I hope that, for a few days, they can feel a little like home to you too.
